Design Services Offered

Consultations Interior design services are free to university clients. During the initial meeting, our designer will review your request and work directly with you to recommend space planning ideas, materials and finishes, colors selections, as well as furniture, flooring and window treatment options.
Space planning

Space plans must meet health and safety code requirements.

Material/Finish selection

Explore color scheme options and combinations.

Furniture selection (ordering, delivery/installation)

Furniture Contracts and Pricing

Furniture is purchased from the NC State University, government cooperative or other state contracts.
Furniture pricing can be found on the MarketPlace supplier catalogs or the State of North Carolina term contract listing.

Purchase Requisitions (above $5,000) include verification of the furniture contract.


Ergonomic Specifications

Consult the ergonomic workstation guidelines. For an ergonomic assessment contact: The Ergonomics Center.

Flooring Selection (ordering, delivery/installation)

Flooring is purchased from the cooperative contracts through a certified dealer. If the existing floor is tile and carpet is being installed, a Facilities Modification Request is required. If the existing floor is carpet and new carpet is being installed, a Work Request is needed.

Window treatments (ordering, delivery/installation)

To order window blinds send an email and with the following information:

  • Building and room number
  • Number of windows/room
  • Type of window blind
  • Department contact name and number

Window treatments and blinds are purchased from the State of NC 870A contract.
